Privacy Policy

What this site does with your input

When you enter an address, place name, or set of coordinates, that text is sent to Google's Geocoding API (via our own server) purely to look up the result, and to OpenStreetMap to display the map tile. We don't store, log, or associate these lookups with you personally — each request is processed and then discarded.

Standard hosting logs

Our hosting provider (Cloudflare) processes standard technical information for every visit — IP address, browser type, and request timing — for security, fraud prevention and performance purposes.

Third-party services used

This site uses Google Maps Geocoding API to convert addresses and coordinates, and OpenStreetMap to display map tiles. Both may process the location data you submit according to their own privacy policies. This site does not use Google Maps' advertising or personalisation features.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR, you have the right to ask what data is held about you, request corrections, request deletion, and object to certain processing. Since this site doesn't hold accounts, profiles, or store your lookups, there is generally no personal data of yours retained here to request. For anything else, contact hello@geopinpoint.co.uk.

Children's privacy

This site is a general-purpose reference tool and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

We may update this policy from time to time. The "last updated" date at the top of this page always reflects the latest version.
